For years, medical treatments and research focused on men, with little or no attention to the physical and emotional needs of women. At UCSF Medical Center, this is not the case. The UCSF Women's Health Center is recognized internationally for its expertise in addressing women's health issues from pregnancy to osteoporosis. In fact, we are the only nationally designated Center of Excellence in Women's Health in Northern California, offering comprehensive, specialized care and for women. And UCSF Medical Center is recognized as one of the top hospitals in the nation for gynecological care.
Our staff recognizes that women's bodies differ from men's in many subtle ways beyond the obvious reproductive organs. We believe our patients have a right to compassionate, high quality health care that is both comprehensive and convenient. Our doctors and staff are prepared to address your health needs — from adolescence to menopause and beyond.
