The 180-bed UCSF Children's Hospital is among the top children's hospitals in California, according to U.S. News & World Report. We have 150 specialists in pediatrics and obstetrics, practicing in more than 50 specialties ranging from cancer care to urology. Our hospital is cradled within the larger UCSF Medical Center, on the sixth, seventh and 15th floors.

Our achievements include:

Because of our experience, expertise and research, we often provide new treatments and medications that aren't yet available at other facilities.

We have outpatient clinics at our Parnassus, Mount Zion and Lakeshore sites and more than 60 outreach clinics, stretching from San Luis Obispo to the Oregon border providing high-level care to children who otherwise might not have access to our services.

For pregnant women, we offer services through our Center for Mothers and Newborns. If complications arise during pregnancy or delivery, we're ready with experts in high-risk pregnancy and a nationally renowned 51-bed neonatal intensive care nursery. We also provide transport for moms and babies, including the most delicate premature babies and infants requiring immediate surgery.

Our Emergency Department is located on the east side of the hospital on Parnassus Avenue.
