Our Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), offered through UCSF Obstetrics and Gynecology Services at Mount Zion, provides in-depth education on prenatal nutrition, emotional health and general wellness, alongside all the standard obstetric care you're already getting at UCSF. There's no cost to join, and it's open to all pregnant UCSF patients who have Medi-Cal insurance.
As a certified CPSP, we offer a range of culturally appropriate and sensitive health care services to pregnant patients with public insurance. We're part of the UCSF Women's Health Center, Northern California's only nationally designated center of excellence in women's health.
We offer help with:
- Referrals to Women, Infants and Children (WIC) government services, doulas, home visiting nurses, social workers, dentists and registered dietitians
- Locating community resources, such as pregnancy support groups, food assistance and transportation assistance
- Basic nutrition services
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Concerns about living situations
- Financial challenges
- Mental and emotional health concerns
- Labor and delivery information
- Lactation education or consultations
How the program works
A health care navigator will be assigned to your prenatal team to determine which resources and referrals you and your family need. You'll meet with your health care navigator once each trimester and once by video after giving birth.
How to enroll
If you have Medi-Cal insurance, schedule a video visit with a CPSP health care navigator by contacting your UCSF OB-GYN, inquiring at the front desk of your UCSF obstetrics clinic, or calling UCSF prenatal care at (415) 353-3400.
Completing the program
The program ends when you've had a postpartum video visit with your health care navigator and received any resources or referrals you need.
