Dr. Schindel is a great listener and is very helpful

Referred by another UCSF urologist...great choice. New urologist was kind, considerate and obviously is highly skilled. I am a most fortunate patient.

Dr. Shindel fit me in, but I did not feel he rushed through our appointment. He put in post visit instructions, orders for lab work, and ultrasound timely, which were all very helpful for the progress of my care.

Couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you!

Overall, excellent experience for my first-time encounter with this doctor. One very minor observation: Apparently after 18 minutes into our video visit, the doctor said he had another patient waiting, implying we had to wind things up pretty quickly. ( I guess the allotted time slot is 15 minutes.). I really like this doctor overall and appreciate and need his expertise, so to be more efficient I will have all my questions and comments written down before my next visit and talk really fast.

This was the first time I received detailed information about the probable history and development of my condition, what changes in my diet may help mitigate my issue and if unresolved then how serious medication will affect my overall health in not a positive way.

I had been waiting for this appointment for a while, and was expecting to discuss my upcoming prostate biopsy, since this is the only appointment I had with your office before that appointment. I did a lot of research and had a bunch of questions, and was told that I would need to speak to the surgeon who will do the biopsy (who turned out to be different to the one that was mentioned). I felt rushed (had less than 20 minutes), the provider knew next to nothing about my case, and had not read the results of the MRI that was pertinent to my biopsy, nor had he responded to an email that was sent by my colorectal surgeon a week before. If he wasn't the appropriate person for me to speak to, your office should have set up the appointment with someone else.

I have experienced, for the first time (after several years of this same procedure but from a different provider) deep bruising, swelling, and a lot of pain for more than one week since having undergone the treatment.

Dr. Spindel was phenomenal.

A little surprised procedure wasn't carried out under ultrasound although perhaps the provider was familiar/experienced enough that there was no additional benefit in using it.

I'm very pleased with the care provided by the doctor. I cannot recommend that anyone else try to see him though, because the procedure for making an appointment is so unfathomably awful. If there's ever an opportunity to avoid UCSF for my health care needs I will take it, and recommend others do the same.

Provider expressed support for my vegan diet. That was much appreciated.

After visit notes indicate "Labs ordered today" and "Complete as directed", but I can't see any directions

I am very glad my doctor's visit was with Dr Schindel -- he is the first doctor I see who knows about the condition I suffer from. He is very knowledgeable and showed great empathy toward my problems.
