Dr. Anna T. Beyer is a general and interventional cardiologist, a specialist in advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques for the heart. Her expertise includes cardiac catheterization (procedures in which the heart is reached by passing a thin, flexible tube through a blood vessel), coronary stenting (inserting a mesh tube into a narrowed artery supplying the heart in order to maintain blood flow), repairing genetic heart defects (such as holes in the heart that should have closed up after birth) and stress testing (monitoring the heart's response to exercise).

Beyer earned her medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She completed a residency in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center. She completed a fellowship in heart failure at UCSF, a cardiology fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at UCSF.

    Dr Beyer is the best of the best. She is very good at listening to my concerns and explaining my opinions in a way I can truly understand. She is patient and caring. I am extremely happy with her as my cardiologist. Her attitude helps me take on my many health challenges with confidence. And that is huge.

    Dr. Beyer really listened to me with a high degree of respect taking into account my concerns and my history. I was so pleased with her response to my need to be educated on cardiologic aspects of my health and her approach to resolving my situation. I left the call feeling that she really cared and that there was a path towards better health.

    I have conflicting data and Dr. Beyer is very thorough & considerate while we are going through this and finding the best solution. I worry because I know enough about cardiac care to be a pain (trained echotech) that I could interfere, but she weighs all the data & my observations, and my physical performance, which is fine, that I feel I am getting great care and we are trying to arrive at the least invasive, most survivable treatment plan. She takes into consideration all my weird & complex medical traits.
