Arthur Hill

Dr. Arthur Hill is a heart and lung surgeon whose interests in patient care include general thoracic, cardiac and thoracic trauma surgery. His specialties include adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, coronary surgery, valve repair, aortic surgery and noncardiac thoracic surgery. He serves as chief of thoracic surgery at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

Hill earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles and noncardiac thoracic surgery at Stanford University. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular research at UCSF and cardiothoracic surgery Cleveland Clinic. He joined UCSF in 2000.

Hill is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Surgeons and American College of Chest Physicians. He is a member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, American Heart Association, California Medical Association and American Medical Association.
