Arun Sharma

Dr. Arun Sharma is a prosthodontist, a specialist in developing artificial replacements for parts of the mouth and jaw. He cares for head and neck cancer patients as well as for patients with other conditions involving the face, head or neck. He also directs the residency program in prosthodontics at the UCSF School of Dentistry.

Sharma earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the Government Dental College and Hospital in Mumbai, India. He earned a master's degree in prosthetic dentistry at the University of London. He completed a residency in prosthodontics at UCSF and a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Sharma is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. He is a member of the International College of Prosthodontists, International Society for Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics, American Dental Association and California Dental Association. He has contributed to seven textbooks and authored many articles.
