Hematologist-oncologist
Outdoor enthusiast, amateur cyclist and global explorer

Dr. Carrie Ho is a hematologist-oncologist who focuses on blood cancers, including Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She has expertise in advanced therapies, such as stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy (in which the patient's T cells are genetically modified to target cancer cells).

In her research, Ho seeks to understand what makes new clinical trials – studies that evaluate experimental treatments using human volunteers – effective for lymphoma and to identify ways to minimize side effects. She also studies how new therapies impact patients' daily lives, looking into their physical and emotional well-being. Her goal is to improve treatment outcomes and the overall experience for patients, so they feel supported throughout their cancer journeys.

Ho earned her medical degree at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Washington, training at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
