Robotic surgeon and dedicated woodworker
Dr. Cerine Jeanty is a minimally invasive gastrointestinal and acute care surgeon who focuses on treatments for hernias of the abdominal wall and diaphragm, gallbladder disease, reflux, intestinal obstructions and tumors, diverticulitis, and colon cancer. She strives to use laparoscopic and robotic surgery to decrease pain after surgery and allow patients to return to their normal lives more quickly. Her goal is to treat patients as if they were family, helping them understand their options and partner in making decisions.
Jeanty earned her medical degree at Wayne State University. She completed a residency in general surgery at UCSF.
Jeanty enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and three daughters. She is also passionate about woodworking, building furniture and creating decorative artwork.
This provider works with UCSF through the UCSF Health Community Medical Group, a multispecialty group connecting doctors and practices throughout the Bay Area.
