Dr. David Blair is a medical geneticist who cares for patients with inborn errors of metabolism, genetic conditions that impair the body's ability to process or store various nutritional components of food.
Blair's research focuses on using computer models and big data to better understand how uncommon DNA changes impact human health. He is also involved in clinical trials evaluating new therapies for rare genetic diseases.
Blair earned his medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, where he also earned a doctorate in genetics, genomics and systems biology. At UCSF, he completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in medical genetics.
