Dr. Devin Shen is a specialist in internal medicine who provides general primary care as well as full-spectrum HIV primary care, HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), LGBTQ+ health care (including gender-affirming hormone therapy), sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening and treatment, doxy-PEP (taking the antibiotic doxycycline to prevent STIs), chronic hepatitis management, and care to meet the needs and support the health of immigrants.

Shen's approach in daily practice centers on delivering the expertise that empowers his patients to make informed decisions about their own health and well-being. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, he believes in creating a safe and affirming space in the clinic for all patients. And having grown up in an immigrant family in the East Bay, he strives to provide health care that is sensitive to the community's diverse cultural backgrounds.

Shen earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan. He completed a residency in internal medicine, with a focus on HIV medicine, at the University of Washington.

Shen enjoys taking long walks, hiking in the woods and eating good food. He enjoys it when his patients ask him for local restaurant recommendations.
