Pregnancy is a very
exciting and vulnerable time in anyone’s life. I consider it a great privilege
to accompany people through this journey.

About me
Dr. Divya P. Mallampati is a perinatologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist, caring for people with high-risk pregnancies. She works with families through all stages of pregnancy, helping them plan, understand the experience, and navigate the period after delivery. She helps families learn about the health of the fetus by performing ultrasounds, offering genetic testing and coordinating care with genetic counselors. She also cares for people who are admitted to the hospital during pregnancy and during labor and delivery.
In research, Mallampati focuses on how public health programs are designed and whether these programs improve pregnancy-related outcomes for mothers and infants. She also consults with public health organizations on pregnancy-related care.
Mallampati earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and her master of public health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
