Dr. Gary Milechman is a cardiologist who cares for patients at the UCSF Cardiovascular Care and Prevention Center – Golden Gate Practice. He specializes in preventive cardiology, cardiac catheterization and other techniques of interventional cardiology, management of bloodstream lipids (cholesterol), and treatment of arrhythmias, including the implantation and evaluation of pacemakers and cardioverter defibrillators. He believes strongly in educating patients about their cardiovascular and general health to help them comply with medical recommendations and improve their overall health outcomes.
Milechman earned his medical degree at Stony Brook University in New York. He completed his residency and fellowship in cardiology at UCSF. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Milechman enjoys teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows. He has received a number of teaching awards during his tenure at UCSF, including Teacher of the Year for the Division of Cardiology in 2015.
