Dr. Hailyn Nielsen is a rheumatologist who cares for patients with autoimmune, autoinflammatory and arthritic conditions. When not working with patients, she is working in the lab to better understand how the immune system functions.

Nielsen earned her medical degree and a doctorate in molecular microbiology and microbial pathogenesis at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at UCSF.

    The doctor even apologized, saying that she had hardly done anything for me the last year. What is happening to me is a bit complicated and there was no Need to apologize.
