    It was very refreshing for the doctor to take the time to explain my condition to me and how it affects me rather than just writing a prescription and ending the appointment. He also addressed the possible causes and how much value was in finding out the cause.

    Would have appreciated being asked what my goals or questions were for the visit. The doctor spent a lot of time explaining conditions I was already aware of, and when I tried re-direct to my questions/goals, they weren't fully addressed.

    He had a resident that was with him and didn't ask for permission to have her attend until after the meeting had started. He interrupted us multiple times while we were asking clarifying questions and was not very friendly or helpful

    Dr Cakmak was nice and by all accounts delivered adequate care. Perhaps due to the delay, he seemed to dive right into the procedure as soon as he entered the room without much introduction or a moment to connect beforehand. I wouldn't say the procedure was rushed, but rather than asking me if I was ready for step A, B, etc as other providers have done, he more so narrated what he was doing. At one point, he asked if we could see on the screen where the embryo was being transferred and I said I could not. Rather than pause to show me so we could follow along, he said he'd show us after. Perhaps there was medical necessity to this approach, but the impact was that we feel we missed, in a way, what was a pivotal moment we've been working toward. We were hoping for a bit more emotion or acknowledgement of this significance of the procedure and it felt casual and perfunctory.

    I cannot thank Dr. Cakmak enough. I have never had such a positive experience with a healthcare provider, and for it to go so well on such an important and personal topic was invaluable. He was patient, listened attentively, and fielded all of my questions. I was absolutely astounded by how well he knew my case, medical history, and the fact that he had questions about all aspects of my healthcare (e.g., recent breast biopsy results, not just fertility results). I have recommended him to everyone possible, and I only wish I had found him before I started my first round of IVF.

    Dr. Cakmack really helped us wade through a ton of overwhelming information and factors and distill down the critical information in layman's terms. He listened to us and we felt heard, but he also really helped guide our decision-making process in a way that was both extremely helpful and comforting.

    I was very, very anxious about this appointment and Dr. Cakmak exceeded my expectations across the board. He was patient and explained everything in depth with visuals as well as writing notes for me. He explained exactly what he was doing during the ultrasound and what next steps are very comprehensively. I left the appointment feeling very optimistic about next steps.
