About me

Dr. Ivan de Kouchkovsky is a medical oncologist who specializes in caring for adults with cancers of the urinary and reproductive tracts, including prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers.

De Kouchkovsky's research focuses on developing and carrying out clinical trials (studies with human volunteers) to evaluate promising new treatments for prostate cancer. He has a particular interest in utilizing new imaging techniques to better monitor treatment response, to personalize therapy, and to improve outcomes for patients with cancers of the genital and urinary organs.

De Kouchkovsky earned his medical degree with honors from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where he was an inaugural Silverstein Scholar. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at UCSF.

De Kouchkovsky is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He has received young investigator awards for his prostate cancer research from both Conquer Cancer (the ASCO Foundation) and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
