Dr. Jacqueline DesJardin is a cardiologist who cares for patients experiencing heart failure and pulmonary hypertension (a serious disorder affecting the lung's blood vessels). Her treatment expertise includes use of mechanical circulatory support (devices that help the heart function or heal) and heart transplantation.

In her research, DesJardin is focused on improving diagnosis and treatment of heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

At UCSF, DesJardin earned her medical degree, completed a residency in internal medicine, and completed fellowships in cardiology and advanced heart failure. She also has a master of advanced studies degree in clinical and epidemiological research from UCSF.
