Jae Woo Lee

Dr. Jae Woo Lee is a general anesthesiologist who cares for adults with a variety of surgical or medical conditions.
Lee's research focuses on the mechanisms underlying lung injury from severe pneumonia. In particular, he studies extracellular vesicles (membrane-bound particles) released by living cells as lung injury develops.
Lee earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children's Hospital.
Lee is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Association of University Anesthesiologists, International Anesthesia Research Society and American Thoracic Society. An avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan, he enjoys watching baseball in his free time.
