I am a friend of a patient and during the visit, the care provider made more eye contact to me than actual patient. Care provider didn't really resolve the medical Issue the patient had. Left the clinic with more questions than answers.

They failed to submit the incomplete FMLA forms until which my FMLA was denied which can cause problem with my employer in the future. This must be fix and the MA just ignore it.

Dr. Yang had excellent patient care and bed side manner, answered all my questions with clarity and brevity, as well as made me feel extremely comfortable for the whole visit. Glad to have him as my PCP!

1) PCP shouldn't push everything to specialists.2) PCP should be more responsible than put themself in a safe position. A safe position means that any answer from PCP is ambiguous. A safe position will make it impossible for patients to sue/complain about PCP, but meanwhile, PCP will rarely help patients solve practical difficulties.3) Let me give you an example. A patient's upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy found no bleeding from the beginning of the esophagus, including the stomach, down to the intestinal tract. At the same time, no polyps and no masses were found in the gastrointestinal system. Although this patient was diagnosed as esophageal adenocarcinoma with metastases to the liver and lungs, the recent PETCTs of the patient also showed that the disease was well controlled. His primary site of esophageal cancer in the esophagus has been reported several times as "again not well seen, and no significant hypermetabolism." However, the PCP wrote the follow up question as: Gi bleeding due to esophageal cancer. His purpose in doing this is to push all problems to specialists and put himself in a safe position. My summary: too irresponsible doctor.4) I have been observing the annual evaluation of the top ten hospitals in the United States by US NEWS. I'm sad to see UCSF fall out of the top 10 in 2023. But I am even more regretful to say that if UCSF is full of such types of doctors, then UCSF will not even be able to enter the top 20.

Dr didn't review my history, be it briefly prior to my arrival. I had to have him check the visits on my chart.

As my first appointment with a new primary care physician, the experience was very disappointing and am going to call my insurance to ensure this appointment is not counted as my yearly phyiscal.
