Dr. Jin Ge is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist who cares for patients with liver diseases, including patients waiting for a liver transplant.
Ge's research focuses on using clinical informatics, data science and artificial intelligence to improve care for patients with complex medical issues and advanced liver disease. In particular, he hopes to develop technologies that can lead to better outcomes for patients hospitalized with liver disease.
After earning his bachelor's degree in engineering at Princeton University, Ge earned his medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He also has a business degree from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at UCSF. While at UCSF, he also completed a certificate program in advanced clinical research training, with a focus on data science.
Ge is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Transplantation and American Medical Informatics Association.
