Dr. John I. Umekubo is a specialist in internal medicine who provides primary care. He is particularly interested in offering the latest treatments and improving outcomes for patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and Alzheimer's disease. He enjoys helping his patients achieve and maintain healthy lives.
Umekubo earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. At St. Mary's Medical Center (now UCSF Health St. Mary's Hospital), he completed a residency in internal medicine.
Outside of work, Umekubo enjoys performing and listening to music, playing golf, drinking wine, learning about classic European automobiles, and spending time in nature.
