Dr. Kevin Hanley is a doctor who cares for patients in the emergency department.
In his research, Hanley focuses on how best to care for patients coming to the emergency room due to complications from gender-affirming surgery. His work on this topic was published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine. He has served as an editor for the manual "Roberts and Hedges' Clinical Procedures in Emergency Medicine." In addition to improving care for gender-diverse populations, he is interested in advancing medical education, including as a mentor to medical students.
Hanley earned his medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He completed both his residency and fellowship in emergency medicine at UCSF.
Outside of work, Hanley loves traveling and spending time with his wife, Nicole. A steeplechaser in college, he also loves running.
