Dr. Kristen Kipps specializes in caring for patients while they are in the hospital. Her role includes diagnosing and managing complex conditions that require hospitalization, as well as coordinating care from a variety of specialists and the patient's primary care doctor. Her goal is to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.
Kipps' research focuses on improving the diagnostic process for patients in the hospital. She serves as director of patient safety for UCSF's division of hospital medicine.
Kipps earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Columbia University.
