Kudret Usmani

Dr. Kudret Usmani is an orthopedic surgeon who cares for patients with traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, as well as those with arthritis. Her expertise includes hip and knee replacement surgeries. Her approach to care is informed by an understanding of both the physical and psychological aspects of recovering from injury, and her overarching goal is to improve her patients' quality of life.

In research, Usmani focuses on how new surgical techniques could enhance patient care and eliminate health disparities. Her studies reflect her commitment to providing equitable and efficient health care to all patients.

Usmani has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University. She earned her medical degree and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. She completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Grady Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of Emory University. She completed a fellowship in reconstructive arthroplasty (surgical joint repair) at Magee-Womens Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Usmani is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Passionate about education, she enjoys teaching and mentoring medical trainees.
