Dr. Masis Isikbay is a neuroradiologist, a specialist in imaging techniques that can reveal problems with the nervous system. He cares for patients in the emergency department.

Isikbay's research focuses on improving patient care in a variety of areas, including COVID-19 diagnostic processes, medical imaging analysis that harnesses machine learning (a type of artificial intelligence), and medical education on diagnostics and procedures. He earned a William W. Olmstead Editorial Fellowship for Trainees Fellowship from the Radiological Society of North America and serves as a deputy editor for its medical journal, Radiology. He has received many other professional awards and grants. He is active in several radiological societies, serving on the American College of Radiology's neuroradiology practice parameters committee and the American Society of Neuroradiology's education committee.

Isikbay earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at UCSF.
