I had an incredible experience with Dr. Gu and highly recommend her! She listened to my list of concerns and continually asked me during the visit if there was anything else I wanted to discuss. She answered every one of my questioned thoroughly and spoke kindly without being condescending or dismissive. She was very reassuring and made sure I felt safe and less anxious even though I was experiencing pain. After the visit, she send me a sweet follow-up message saying she is always here if I need her. I look forward to continuing my medical oversight with her <3

Visit felt very cursory. Only focused on one problem - which admittedly is of concern. Vague directions about treatment. No information about proposed medication. No screening for other problems.

Dr. Gu is very professional on treating my warts, different strength of spray were applied based on wart size and seriousness in developing phase. She asked my pain level to proceed. Very comfortable experience even after treated more than 10 warts. Really appreciate her professionalism and kindness.

She followed up on my referrals.

I have been with Dr Gu for years now. She is always attentive, ALWAYS listens to you and your concerns.

I visited my PCP b/c I had of a hurt knee. On the spot she told me I had osteoarthritis w/o any explanation. She said I would need shots. I had to ask her what the treatment plan is. She said shots but that I could try physical therapy. Her quick diagnosis was a bit shocking and she also lacked empathy in how she delivered her diagnosis.

It was a brief meeting as the Provider suggested I meet with another physician at the practice, therefore no treatment was provided or proposed

During my office visit, Dr. Gu performed a Pap smear. She did not prepare my position properly, despite telling her that my hips and legs were not in a good position, she stuck the speculum hurriedly without care, it was still wet with disinfectant and it gave me a burning sensation, she did not care at all If I was In pain. My office visit consisted of a brief conversation with the provider and a Pap smear. The conversation covered, my fit test, zoster and pneumonia vaccine, a bit about my diet, and cholesterol and metabolic blood tests. She did not perform a physical exam or gynecological exam. But in my After Visit Summary and notes she entered data about the my body, eyes, ears, nose, heart, etc. I asked her to remove and correct the information several times but she said in her messages that: the Pap smear Is the gynecological exam, and the data listed under physical exam was a standard template.

Excellent provider, but sad that she is not taking new patients.

The physician was very caring and so helpful

I feel that this doctor doesn't bring up tests that I should have but only addresses things I bring up. Unless I say that I need a mammogram or stool test, I don't think she would bring it up. She agrees to all the items I bring up and makes referrals but because I didn't mention routine blood tests, a Pap test, what vaccines I should have, she didn't bring it up either. I feel I am the only one who needs to advocate for my health, that she isn't there to help with that.

I like when my doctor suggests ways to improve my health, she reminds me of my good diet & regular exercise.

While I like the physician, I don't feel she has a "holistic" approach. She never talks about exercise. She didn't listen to my heart or my lungs or do a breast exam which in the past would have been part of a physical.

Very much appreciate Dr Gu as my PCP, very efficient, good listener. Excellent response/communicator via MyChart messaging for followup.Two areas of improvement, would appreciate: having my preventive blood work/tests taken before my annual preventative physical; post notes/AVS of my annual physical within a day or two of visit (was posted about a week later)

Dr. Gu is very good but not taking new patients. So, I am not able to recommend to family and friends.

Again, Dr. Gu had me wait for 35 minutes in the exam room. Once she arrived, she barely examined me, including parts of my body that had been hurting several days earlier.

Dr Gu has excellent doctor to patient communication.

She was not able to explain the reasons for denying my request. She took her laptop and left the room for 10 minutes without telling me where she was going or why she left the room. I kept telling her that we can move to my other concerns, but she was stuck on the first topic. After 20 minutes back and forth, she said my time was up and I had to make another appointment to come back to be checked for my annual. She didn't do a thorough examination. She kept repeating herself over and over again without any logic.

I still haven't been able to get my asthma medicine. It does concern me that for whatever reason I'm having trouble getting a refill for my medicine for a chronic condition. On this part of the visit I'm just not satisfied because I am now out of medicine and can't seem to get it.

This was my first meeting Dr. Gu and I was quite excited to finally have a in person check up. My first in years. My first concern is that when my nurse took my blood pressure it was quite high. She took my blood pressure twice and it was high both times. Dr. Gu never mentioned my blood pressure being high and I left the office without any discussion about my bp. A year ago I had some blood work done and my cholesterol was quite high. Dr. Gu prescribed Lipitor which I tried for a few weeks but discontinued because I did not like the side effects. Dr. Gu was told about me discontinuing the medication and told me she would follow up with blood work at a later date. This blood work was not done. We had no discussion about my cholesterol. I also spoke with her about a problem that I had been having for years where when my body gets stressed (either at work or with physical activity) I develop a fever. Sometimes depending on the level of stress the fever can be quite high or it could be low grade. I also get body aches like I have a flu. I mentioned this to her and she never said a word about it. I was hoping blood work was being done to point us in the right direction but no blood work was done other than testing me for STD's.
