Dr. Hatamiya was excellent. He went through my knee X-rays and MRI thoroughly and explained everything and answered all my questions. He was a little quick and gentle on the exam. I guess he knew already what I was dealing with. But I really appreciate him going thru the diagnostics, even showing me journal articles to back up his recommendations.

Amazing doctor he explained everything answered all my questions. He was so very kind and considerate and cares about you . I have been to 3 doctors in my town with different diagnosis but he explained why I was in pain and did an ultrasound with injection into where I had the pain.

Dr Hatamiya is a model of what doctors should be like: genuine concern, willingness to brainstorm, friendly, caring. I can't say enough good things about him. I have a complicated/ unclear situation, and in my experience, that can cause doctors to lose patience or check out because they can't resolve things quickly or easily. But Dr. Hatamiya clearly understands this and is willing to try different solutions

Dr. Hatamiya is FANTASTIC. 10/10. He epitomizes UCSF excellence. He was approachable, pleasant and spent a lot of time reviewing my x-rays, diagnosis and all options for treatment with me. He was very respectful and worked with me for what would work best for me. I do not require follow-up at this time, however he said to message him or schedule another appointment if symptoms get worse. He also gave me an option to see him at an affiliate location closer to my house if I did need to come back. Great appointment.
