Patricia Cornett

Dr. Patricia Cornett is a hematologist who cares for patients with classical (noncancerous) disorders affecting the blood.

Cornett earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine as well as a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Letterman Army Medical Center.

Cornett belongs to the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine. She is the associate chair for education in the UCSF Department of Medicine. She also plays a leadership role in the school's innovative Bridges Curriculum, which seeks to prepare medical students to flourish in the rapidly evolving world of medicine.

    My appointment was outstanding with Dr Cornett. After years of not being heard or concerns being addressed by my previous hematologist, I finally was heard.     S she told me right up front that this medication was going to raise my blood sugar before I ever took it. I just really like being informed like that in advance and I just felt really comfortable about the whole thing.
