Dr. Phoebe Ashley is an outstanding cardiologist. She is so knowledgeable, kind, and an expert listener. She has helped me tremendously as well as my family and friends who I have referred to her.

The providers office was supposed to call me to order a Calcium score test and to schedule additional heart tests and I haven't heard from anyone in 9 days. I'm hoping to hear from someone soon as I'm leaving to country to travel again for the holidays.

What a joy to have Dr Ashley as my provider. She shows her care and compassion in little ways a smile, a light touch on your knee, the tone of her voice. These gestures make me feel good inside.

I didn't appreciate the provider putting "possible anxiety" as a possible cause of my concerns In her initial write-up for first session. That is very frustrating and hurtful. "Possible residual stress" and/or "undetermined other factors" would have instead been positive appropriate wording for such a first session. There could be many reasons for fatigue In a person's life (such as heavy eyelids). Also, seeking second opinion/evaluation of a report that stated there could be an issue should have been seen as brave and wise.I am a very proactive person and an excellent analyst. I do the best I can to take exceptional care of my health. Seeking health review from an incredibly excellent institution such as yours should not subject me or my medical records to unsupported psychosocial terms that could create stigma and impact my self-esteem, reputation, and impression by other providers. UCSF should instead be Incredibly proud of me for taking such proactive steps in my health, and glad I see them as experts. My health questions should be seen as appropriately checking my concerns, questions, and health status before progressing into older age years ...so I can be proactive.I was otherwise very pleased and happy with this thorough provider, though the write-up was very, very (incredibly) frustrating and not respectful to me in this specific regard.I was there that day for medical review of my heart, not an evaluation of my psychology and my reputation at risk. In thoroughness, I have proactively sought therapy support in the past (as good for most people to do), and anxiety was never stated as an issue. My medical chart should be free of anxiety. UCSF should instead be very proud of me and delighted to see me!
