Richard Jordan is a pathologist in the Dermatopathology and Oral Pathology Service. He has special expertise in the diagnosis of oral cavity and head and neck diseases, including salivary gland tumors, mucosal disease and oral cancer. A professor in the Orofacial Sciences and Pathology Departments at the UCSF School of Dentistry, Jordan's research focuses on head and neck cancers and human papilloma virus.
Jordan earned his dental degree from the University of Toronto, where he also completed residencies in anatomic pathology and oral and maxillofacial pathology. He completed a fellowship at the Royal College of Pathologists in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and NRG Oncology, a non-profit clinical research organization.
