I pride myself on a very efficient clinical practice. Patients that arrive early are almost always seen early.
Dr. Ryan Cudahy is a family medicine doctor who specializes in sports medicine. When caring for patients with sports-related injuries, he believes in starting with the least invasive approach and escalating treatment as necessary to meet individual needs. He is especially interested in using ultrasound to evaluate and educate patients and, when necessary, using advanced treatments, such as biologics (substances made from living organisms), stem cells, platelet-rich plasma and hyaluronic acid.
Cudahy earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, part of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed a residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at Halifax Health.
Sports have always been a meaningful part of Cudahy's life. He was inspired to pursue his specialty by athletic mentors and team doctors. He is now the lead team physician for the University of San Francisco, San Francisco State University and City College of San Francisco, and he serves on the medical staff for the San Francisco Giants.
This provider works with UCSF through the UCSF Health Community Medical Group, a multispecialty group connecting doctors and practices throughout the Bay Area.
