My visit with Dr. Whetstone was by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had during a medical visit. She acknowledged my needs, concerns, and goals while providing further clarity that was extremely insightful. Her thorough breakdown of my options, which she so generously and kindly wrote down in a paper that she gave me, was the most transparent and comprehensible medical advise I've ever received across the board. What I particularly appreciated about Dr. Whetstone was her intuitive perception, often preempting precisely my next question and offering me numbing cream for my ultrasound appointment. As my chart shows, I presented with unusually high blood pressure due to my overwhelming anxiety and malaise about the visit, which is also why I had a friend accompany me for the appointment. At the end of the appointment, the nurse checked my blood pressure and it had stabilized significantly. I left the appointment with the greatest sense of ease, gratitude for being heard, full understanding, and tangible next steps. My friend who was with me remarked that they would immediately be looking into switching their provider to Dr. Whetstone. I'm beyond grateful for Dr. Whetstone and only wish she could be my doctor for all my medical concerns!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with Dr. Whetstone and the medical student who assisted with my care. Dr. Whetstone conducted a comprehensive review of my health history, similar to what you'd expect from a family doctor, and offered to arrange referrals within the UCSF network to ensure I receive well-coordinated care for my overall health needs.She was exceptionally kind and gentle during my PAP exam, addressed all of my concerns thoughtfully, and never pressured me to pursue any treatments I wasn't ready for. I left the appointment feeling confident that I was receiving excellent care from what is likely one of the best physicians I've encountered.Following my visit, the specialists Dr. Whetstone referred me to contacted me promptly and scheduled new patient appointments right away. I'm extremely pleased to have found UCSF as my healthcare provider.

My provider is great, nice relating to me and my life & knowledgeable helping me understand clearly I have a great relationship with my provider each time. She shows empathy caring about me.

This resident is amazing! I have seen many residents in my past OBGYN care (not at UCSF) and was very impressed and comfortable during this visit.

Dr. Whetstone was wonderful the first time I saw her a couple years ago so I wanted to see her again and this time went well as well. I imagine there's a delicate balance feeling rushed/behind while wanting to be thorough with each person and I think she balanced the efficiency and thoroughness well while handling my various questions, and was also warm and kind throughout.
