Susan Smith

Family physician
Dr. Susan Smith is a family doctor who cares for patients of all ages. She is chief faculty practices officer and senior vice president of UCSF Health, and has a particular interest in improving the health care experience for patients, staff members and physicians.
Smith earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training at UCSF.
Smith came to UCSF from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. In addition to her family medicine practice there, she held a number of important leadership roles, most recently as medical director.
