Terrelea K. Wong

Dr. Terrelea Wong is an internal medicine specialist who provides primary care. She is passionate about preventive care, particularly the role of nutrition in preventing and managing chronic diseases.
Wong is an adviser to the UCSF Quantitative Biosciences Institute, a collaboration among researchers who use computational tools to better understand various diseases' chemistry and genetics, with the goal of developing new treatments.
After undergraduate studies at Brown University, Wong earned her medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine. While completing a residency in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center, she spent several months training at UCSF.
Before joining UCSF, Wong practiced internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco for 15 years, managing a team of 10 doctors and running the center's adult asthma clinic.
