Radiologist
Passionate about learning and serving my community

Dr. Thomas Yohannan is a radiologist who specializes in molecular imaging (techniques that show disease-related changes in cells and molecules) and molecular therapies (targeting specific molecules that play a role in disease). His expertise includes analyzing detailed medical images to help diagnose conditions and determine effective treatment plans. He also oversees specialized treatments that use radioactive medicines to provide precise, personalized care.

Yohannan's research focuses on improving how doctors select and interpret advanced medical imaging techniques that use small amounts of radioactive tracers. He develops tools to make complex imaging decisions more exact and consistent. He has also explored how to predict individual responses to cancer treatment, how to improve prostate cancer detection, and how to develop new imaging methods for various conditions.

Yohannan earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center and a fellowship in nuclear medicine at UCSF.
