Optometrist
Travel enthusiast and amateur chef
Dr. Tiffany Chen is an optometrist who provides primary eye care, including for patients with unclear vision due to refractive errors, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. She also manages eye conditions, such as dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy (damage to the retina's blood vessels due to diabetes) and macular degeneration (vision loss caused by retinal deterioration). She has a special interest in treating corneal disorders and anterior segment disorders (conditions affecting the front structures of the eye). Her holistic approach to patient care aims to support overall well-being by treating the entire person rather than only the condition. Paying attention to detail enables her to effectively treat as well as educate her patients about their eye health.
Chen earned her doctor of optometry degree and master's degree in vision science at the SUNY (State University of New York) College of Optometry. She completed a residency in ocular disease and primary eye care at UCSF.
Outside of work, Chen enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
