Dr Padgett is very good at listening, treating the whole patient and never dismisses any concerns. He is fast, efficient, and very effective and knowledgeable. He is the best PCP I have ever had. Only concern: One of the follow up lab tests ordered for me required fasting. I wasn't not informed of this requirement, so I will need to visit the lab a second time to complete the tests.

UCSF I am proud to under thier watch

Dr Padgett professionally introduced himself and mentioned how bad Isounded initially. He asked about my symtoms, heard my lungs, meds I am taking and explained his diagnoses and treatments. I agreed and followed his written instructions for an xray exam at Mission Bay. He informed that my Prednisone could also be p/u at my pharmacy. Today, he messaged me at mychart for the results of my xray and said that my lungs are cleared and hopefully the Prednosone works. I am too! I appreciate Dr Padgett seeing me as quicky as possible with Liza Woods, NP scheduling me on the same day. I am really being taking cared of. Thank you all.

He couldn't not have been faster or more indifferent. Didn't ask almost any questions. His first question was did it hurt enough to need surgery?!?! What? He gave me referrals and said he would refer me to ortho, Barely touched my leg or interacted. I drove in spite of protest because they said he knew alot about these types of injuries. And just unfriendly. So uncharacteristic for ucsf doctors all of whom have been consistently great at patient care.

I have not experienced the level of care I receive from Dr. Padgett from any other primary care doctor. I'm considered a complex medical case and to my surprise, he had taken time to carefully review my complete medical history prior to our initial appointment. At every visit he seems to remain familiar with my case and takes time to discuss issues with me, answer questions, make recommendations and order referrals to specialists when necessary. I'm very pleased to be under his care.

My care provider Dr. Padgett is an excellent doctor and when you are with him,you feel very comfortable and at ease and can talk to him freely.i will recommend him to any of my friends and family members.

Dr Padgett is an outstanding professional. Despite his busy schedule he is able to connect with the patient, to listen, explain and educate. I feel fortunate to be under his care.

I am a bit irked that the first thing Dr Padgett recommended for my obesity is a referral to Stanford for bariatric surgery. He seemed to ignore that I told him I had just lost 10 lbs in prior 6 weeks. Such an extreme measure may be necessary in the end but it seemed radical to propose it right away. I am not a statistic.

Dr Padgett throughly explained my condition and broke it down so I understood just how critical it is. I saw another provider who ordered lab tests and later told me that I was severely anemic but never mentioned how severe or what to look out for but Dr Padgett went and explained the numbers so I understood what the other doctor meant by "severely". He's great! I'm so glad I went to see him!

Dr. Padgett is great--and, for me, a wonder in terms of a doctor who is thorough and proactive, who listens and considers my needs as well as my feelings--to then provide me comprehensive as well as personally prescribed care that best benefits me. I've suffered from "White Coat-itis" all my life, but something tells me Dr. Padgett manner and attitude towards me the patient will cure me of that, too.

Very comfortable, informative first visit with the DoctorHe gave me some insight and advice concerning my health, without being condescending nor judgmental .

Very reassuring, respectful. Handled multiple concerns / requests in about 20mins. Left feeling heard and understood.

Dr. Padgett seemed very knowledgeable, but he didn't introduce himself, wasn't wearing a badge, seemed barely interested in my concerns, and when 30 minutes had elapsed, ended the session by saying, "I have to move on now" I've never had a physical where the doctor didn't examine me - no listening to breath sounds or heartbeat, no hernia check, stomach palpitation, nothing. Maybe that's just not his style, or maybe it's an antiquated expectation on my part. I listed my troubles and he ordered the appropriate tests, and I came away feeling like I could have easily done the same thing with an online computer program. Would not recommend.

Dr. Padgett, listened to all my concerns and addressed them with quick solutions. I threw a lot at him like spitfire and he set me up in a nice trajectory to attacking my health and holding myself accountable. Dr. Padgett has a can do attitude, which is refreshing and I look forward to his support.

The doctor didn't know us yet so we had to explain the background. It was alittle frustrating after going through all the info with the nurse that its basically duplicated. However, he did listen and understand and explain how he can help.

I saw him because there was no opening with my primary care doctor and I was prepared for yet another failure I'm going to see a doctor at that office to get basic care, but then he actually was straightforward and got what needed to be done. I really appreciated his straightforward, Efficient plan to get me the care I need. He did not try to lecture me about what was going on with my health without having understood anything about my medical history, and instead, he actually listened to what I was telling him, and we went from there. With the other providers, I have to spend a long time trying to educate them that what they're saying is not accurate and then there is no time left in the appointment to get what I need. He was a breath of fresh air. Actually useful. But I am still the one having to actually manage my own care. Overall, this was just a situation where I finally got a basic order that I needed to get from the doctor. He was great but then it turned out he didn't put the orders in correctly for the labs or the iron infusion so it took another month of me on the phone and my chart day after day after day trying to get the orders fixed and entered properly. But he meant to be efficient so that is definitely something. And he respected that I knew about my own health and I didn't have to work to dispel his misinterpretation of what was going on. That is what happens with the other providers.

Dr. Padgett did not try to understand what I was experiencing to provide appropriate next steps to alleviate my pain. He didn't have any empathy for situation and it felt like he just wanted to get me off the call as soon as possible. I do not want to see this provider again.
