Janet Jonte

Nurse practitioner
Janet Jonte is a nurse practitioner specializing in gynecologic care. She has particular interests in colposcopy (a procedure that allows a magnified view of the cervix), management of HPV-related diseases, and screening and prevention of sexually transmitted infections.
Jonte conducts research on cervical dysplasia and HPV. She is currently working on a research protocol assessing the use of a fiber-optic device to detect areas of abnormal cervical tissue.
Jonte received her nursing degree from California State University, Chico. She completed her master's degree in nursing at the Harbor – UCLA Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program.
Jonte is a member of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health, the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and California Association for Nurse Practitioners.
