Lindsay Orbeta is a dietitian whose specialties include performance nutrition, body composition optimization (nutritional approaches to losing fat and building muscle), metabolic health and flexibility (enhancing the body's ability to respond to changes in energy demands), nutritional support before and after surgery, and anti-inflammatory diets. In 2023, she used her own nutrition practice on herself as she prepared for and recovered from ACL surgery.

In her previous work as an exercise physiologist, Orbeta studied the effects of exercise on human metabolism, as well as the use of dual X-ray absorptometry (DXA or DEXA) to measure bone density and body composition. She also co-authored a research paper on ketogenic diets for endurance athletes.

Orbeta earned a bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition from San Diego State University and a double master's degree in exercise physiology and sports nutrition from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

I believe that cooking healthy meals for yourself is the highest form of self-respect.
