Miya Frick is a genetic counselor who specializes in caring for patients whose family histories may raise their risk of certain cancers.

Frick received her bachelor of science degree in biology from San Francisco State University and her master's degree in genetic counseling at California State University, Stanislaus. While completing her master's degree, she investigated the value of screening certain breast tumors to identify features that could suggest a disorder known as Lynch syndrome, or hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer.
