- Neurological conditions (such as myasthenia gravis and multiple sclerosis)
- Blood disorders (such as hemophilia)
- Diabetes and other endocrine disorders (such as Graves' disease and hyperparathyroidism)
- Gastrointestinal conditions (such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease)
- Autoimmune conditions (such as lupus and Sjögren's syndrome)
- History of organ transplantation
- Liver conditions (such as cirrhosis and hepatitis)
- Substance use disorders

For fetal concerns, we'll refer you to the UCSF Fetal Treatment Center.
Our team includes perinatologists (OB-GYNs who specialize in complicated pregnancies, also known as maternal fetal medicine specialists), obstetric anesthesia experts, nurses and social workers. We will coordinate all parts of your care – from consultations to testing and diagnosis to treatments – throughout your pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period. Each year, at our state-of-the-art, family-oriented Birth Center, we deliver hundreds of babies for patients with high-risk pregnancies.
