UCSF Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Bayfront cares for adult patients who are experiencing changes in their physical, sensory or mental function due to injury, illness, chronic disease or other conditions. Our clinic offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology under one roof.

Our specialists offer personalized evaluations, education, and therapies to support healing and help patients recover and improve their functional abilities. After assessing each patient thoroughly, we design a treatment program to meet their specific needs.

We provide wheelchair assessment, augmentative and alternative communication assessments, and treatment of impaired movement and function related to:

  • Arm, hand, wrist and shoulder impairments
  • Aphasia
  • Balance problems
  • Brain injuries
  • Cancer or treatment of cancer
  • Chronic heart and lung conditions
  • Chronic pain
  • Cognitive-communication disorders
